If you don't want to be collected from your Hotel and taken to the Airport then book with a company called SKYTRANSFERS and that is exactly what will happen.
I pre-booked in the UK for a Taxi from the Airport to the Villa in Lanzarote and then a return pick up. I did as they requested and rang to confirm 48 hours before our return flight to check all of the details, but on the day no taxi turned up and I had to arrange my own transport at an extra cost.
On my return I conatcted Skytransfers who seemed helpful and sent me a complaint form which was sent back to them in December 2007 but as yet I still have not received a refund.
I have contacted them several times only to be told that they have staffing problems, until last week they confirmed that they would send a refund out for half of the amount I had paid but could not refund the extra cost of the taxi at the moment. I am still waiting!!
I have asked them to contact me but they never do, I have asked to speak to the Manager, but he is always out of the office and never calls back.
Has anyone else had problems with this company??
Thanks
i am also having problems with skytransfers they did not show at the airport and they are not returning my calls could melbaz please email me on
dear mel i have a problem with sky transfers exactly the same as yours have you had your refund yet
Finally this week I have received an e-mail telling me that a refund has been sent but as yet nothing received. This has been ongoing since December and I have rang them every few weeks but the person who deals with complaints works part time and if she is not there then no one else seems able to deal with your query.
Have just been on another review website and found more negative posts regarding SKYTRANSFERS.COM
with lanzarote (and many spanish airports) I think you're as well to just queue for a taxi anyway as there's a plethora of them at nearly all times. From the looks of these complaints, take it as a lesson learned and don't let it detract from such a lovely island
Hypermusic - sometimes tho' if you're a large party that doesn't want to split, private transfers are the better option to a taxi.
We're a family of 5 and I won't consider us travelling separately indeed 2 taxi's would cost more than our private transfer anyway so a taxi isn't always the best option - it might be for some but not all!
