Hi I'm just back from Belek. Can't say what the prices are exactly as we went All inclusive but from the experiences we had on the things we did have to pay for I would say watch out for things priced in euros. It was totally confusing as they seemed to favour using euro's more and as that had dropped against the pound we seemed to be getting charged a lot more.

I would make sure I had a conversion chart for lire and euro to hand, especially at the market. I did by a Prada (copy ) handbag which was leather for 30 lira £12 so that was good.

Forget euros as it will make everything more expensive. The exchange rate from sterling to Lira is pretty good at the moment. Don't let traders dictate to you how you pay. It's Turkey and the currency is Lira. If they don't like it walk away and shop elsewhere. Don't take travellers cheques as the commission on them is quite high. Change a little in UK into Lira before you go and take sterling to change there. You will also find ATM's while you are there.
Prices in Turkey have been steadily rising over the last couple of years but if you are careful you should be able to pay a little less than it is in UK and in some places like the Pide lokantas a lot less. If you are self catering buy local produce which is in season.
