Car hire or not?

Hello,

We are staying in Costa Adeje for 10 days in June/July. We do not have any airport transfer so we are considering whether to hire a car or rely on taxis to get us to and from the airport and into PLA.

Read some adverse comments about taxi drivers and high fares in this area but wonder if finding a parking a space is very difficult in PLA if we hire a car.

Is the bus service into PLA from Costa Adeje reliable and frequent?

Any helpful advice would be most appreciated, thanks

where abouts are you staying. I never had any problem with taxis...either from the airport or around the Resort. Have never hired a car tho'

We are staying at the Riu Palace, it is at the far end of Costa Adeje I think.

If your just looking at using a car for transfer to your hotel, and back to the airport, then i would just use taxis.

a taxi to your hotel should cost you no more than 25 euros, we pay 20 to palm beach,

How many are going, as there is a reliable company that will pick you up, we have used them loads of times and they are fine.

There are only 2 of us so taxi sounds like it would be cheaper. 25 euro each way from airport and back sounds o.k I was reading some posts saying they had been ripped off by drivers charging high rates in PLA. The standard of driving sounds a bit scary! :yikes

Is there a bus service that runs into PLA that picks up fom our end of Costa Adeje?
