Can't tell you much about the apartments sorry but I think you'll enjoy Gumbet. The boat trips include food but you have to pay for your drinks at the end (they keep a tab) - not bad prices. Another good trip is the jeep safari - be prepared to get very wet!! We were there from 19-26 April and the weather was fantastic. Good places to eat are Chinatown, Seray Zetas, Cheers/Mascot bar/restaurant and the Serhan Hotel. We're doing the opposite - we're going to Marmaris in June after going to Gumbet for years - worried now that I won't like it as much. We love Gumbet so much that we've now bought a place over there.
I lived near Gumbet for a few years, it's a great place if you like eating out and drinking, there are loads of bars and restaurants. Everywhere is cheaper than the Uk but some places are getting a bit pricey so look around a bit. I too would recommend Seray Zetas, they do wonderful Turkish food and it is very reasonably priced.
The Kaptan Kemal Apartments are at the end of the main street, close enough to all ther action but not too nosiy at night. I haven't been inside but they look nice from the outside.
Boat trips cost about £8 - £10 but are a really great day out.
You can also get into Bodrum very easily by dolmus, there are loads of shops, restaurants and sites to see plus a weekly market. You can also visit loads of other places from Bodrum easily by dolmus if you fancy travelling a bit further afield.
I hope you enjoy your holiday x

Gumbet Jackie - We visited Marmaris when we stayed in Turunc last year but we didn't like it very much, I hope you aren't disappointed.
Where is Seray Zetas restaurant? I usually eat up in the Turkish end of Gumbet, better Turkish food, but fancy going somewhere different.
Seray Zetas is near the Magnific Hotel, further up the road opposite the Colosseus Hotel (near the Serhan Hotel) on the first road back from the beach.
They do have some very good restaurants in th Turkish part, 01 Adana is our favourite. Everything is so much cheaper there.
Or call in and have some of their great soups, all served with fresh baked bread and salad - mmmmmmmmmmmmmm
