Hi,
We are thinking of flying into Pisa and drive along the coast to Genova. Has anyone done this? How many days did it take you?
What places/towns would you recommend stopping by? Can you recommend any nice restaurants? Can you recommend any nice hotels? Maybe some nice beaches?
Thank you for your time and help!
I can't give any precise ideas for restaurants, but I suggest that you use the motorway and have money on hand for tolls. If you have time to spare, and can cope with wiggly roads, often with few passing places I can recommend a visit to the villages of the CINQUE TERRE.
If you use http://www.viamichelin.fr you can ask for a route in English (it's a multinational/multilingual site) and get precise details.
Do be aware that this is a very frequently used road, and patience may be needed to cope with the Italian wizzkid drivers and the lorries ........ oh and a bottle of water because it gets very hot outside!
