Tankinis/Bathing suit cup sizes

OK Im not going into details!!!

But suffice to say that although I take a size 12 in swimsuits/tankinis - I do take a large bra size - and I find the ones in most shops do not fit/support me in that area!

On a serious note - does anyone have any recommendations for shops selling swimsuits with proper cup sizes - I am not a big bikini fan but I might give it a go if the size fitted me properly.

The only one I have found so far is Debenhams - any others out there?

Have a look at the thread entitled bikini sizes - there is loads of info on there.

I had the opposite problem. Finding some nice good quality bikinis on Figleaves and finding that they don't cater for lil boobies like mine.

We're never happy are we Tis!!!! :wave:

I would love to be smaller as I feel clothes never sit right on me and I always look heavier than I really am............(not that Im slim anyway!!)

I will look in the thread - I hadnt read it as I never wear bikinis

both Tesco and Matalan sell bikinis and tankinis as seperates I am size 18 on top and 14 bottoms they both are ok for me, good luck !!!!!!!!!!!

Its not really that I need a "size 16" top and a smaller bottom - but I do need say - a size 12 top with a proper bra cup size in it - Debenhams do them for example size 12 with cup size 34ff!.

I just wondered if anyone knew of any other "specalist" shops that did!

Hi,

I suffer with a similar problem - try Bravissimo, they're fab and have a good range of swimsuits amongst other things, such as bras, supportive tops, etc, etc. You can buy things online and return them easily if they're not right. They also ahve shops dotted around the country. Also Uppercup is an online shop, which caters for the 'larger busted lady' and they're also fab!

Tesco have started doing certain bikini tops in cup sizes and have also noticed the Katie Price range in Asda too has bikini tops in cup sizes. Denny

M&S also do 'proper' bra sized bikini tops.
Maybe you've just seen the 'normal' sizes - 10, 12, etc.
I'm not sure how big cup size they go, although I do know they do 34F.

I tried a bikini top on in Matalan (same size as I wear in a bra) and it was very small sized.

I'll check out Tesco later today (although I really shouldn't because I've just had to choose which ones to take out of the 15 I already have). :really

I always use figleaves now but BHS also do a good mix n match range with tops in bra sizes .

Oh wow ! Thanks for that - no I hadnt noticed the "cup sizes" in Marksies - will look tomorrow when Im out shopping.

Also have browsed Figleaves Bravissimo etc and they have a brilliant selection!

Theres loads now for me to choose from - your input was fab!

the bra-sized swimwear is usually different designs to the 'normal' sizes.

I've bought some lovely ones over the last couple of years (mainly in the sales).

They had a really nice one about a month ago in shades of peach/apricot/pink & white.
