Hi,
caprabo used to take credit cards for purchases,but they have been taken over by the supermarket chain called eroski / syp.
I would expect eroski to carry on with the same terms & conditions.

I found that they will accept credit/debit cards but you will need to have your passport with you for them to accept it.

Thanks for all the replies. I have been to Italy (off the tourist trail), and they were using debit/credit cards, with no problem, (chip & pin) three years ago. Seems to defeat the purpose if you have to carry your passport as well. Anyway, thanks again for answering.
