I went to Turkey about 10 years ago and the "air con" in the room was a fan. Is this still standard in Turkey? How can I check that apartments have full air con? Also I have read that the travelers rest are good apartments. Anyone suggest any other good ones.

Simple before you book it ask the concerned party.
It should state in the accommodation details whether it has air cond. General rule would be if it isn't mentioned then it won't have it. 
hi davidog, try. the demiglugu aparts, sorry about the spelling.. central location, 2 mins away from th beach, rooms are lovely, well equipped pool is great lots of sunbeds,the apartments are situated above vince,s resturant, the food there is excellent, the staff last year were lovely, couldent do enough for you, vince is a really lovely man, and wait for it, AIR CONDITIONING THAT WORKS PERFECTLY. were going again in september its really the best place weve stayed in..
