Yes you can take your own food with no problem ,we always take rolls
and drinks in for lunch saves time on queuing, more time for the rides :)

Thanks for that, its nicer to be able to take your own picnic, and as you say it saves a lot of time.
I saw something on Universal's website that says that coolers are not permitted in the parks. Do you know what that means? I hope a small cooler bag would be Ok?

We freeze a few small bottles of water, and put them in close to the food, keeps
it all cool and the water can be sipped during the day as it defrost,s.there are lots
of water fountains around the parks to refill, you can put all this into a backpack and
save carrying a coolbag :) hope this helps

We have always taken our own food and drinks. Nobody has said anything as they have searched our bags at the entrance. Food and drink is expensive inside the parks so eat your own food and then if it runs out later in the day , it won't cost you so much. Now ,as for the cinnamon nuts well.... :tongue

Can anyone tell me, when we went to seaworld we got our bags searched and at universal. They took our food out and drinks, same at Busche gardens. I must admit it was a couple of years ago, but they did bag searches. Have they stopped this now? It costs a fortune buying all their food and drink. Thank you.

Thats what I had thought too. When we went before it was shortly after the 9/11 attack and security was very tight and I wondered if the bag searching and confiscation of food was because of that?

We were there this time last year[may2007] and had no problems at any of the parks
re food and drink, they do a bag check at the entrance but thats it.

They seemed to have no problems with drinks and food. They do check bags but it is for dangerous items.
