Oooh my favourite place was The George and Dragon, along the beach front, we eat most of our meals there in the evenings, they have some good dance shows etc...and you can always "bag" yourself a good bargain! next favourites are treannas also on the beach front and le-madri which is situated just behind treannas... both do gorgous steak meals!
We always tend to go to places that looked very busy but saying that last year we went to one of those chinese/mexican/indian places in Icmeler and all 6 of us became ill
Cannot go wrong with the Taj though
Have a lovely time x
we went to natalies and o'yes on the front they were superb!
was actually in Marmaris around 18 years ago and if memory serves me correct there was a place called the " Rovers return " large open air eating place that played pan pipe music in the background, seem to recall it was always very busy , ring any bells with anyone ??!!
lastly. appreciatte there are online maps off marmaris just wonder if there is a link to one that shows most off the main hotels / appmnts, restaurants etc, above all something thats is actually viewable, say that as from the ones I have seen online all appear to be a liitle too small in print to actually make out !!
no probs if not am sure I will have gathered a good few off the usual free glossy restort maps that you always seem to gather when abroad !!
Try Andys in Marmaris situated on the main Marmaris to Icmeler road, We found the food to be superb, Service was the best I have ever had in our 14 trips to Turkey, Its situated close to a Mcdonalds which is 100 meteres away on the same side (Not the one beside Migros or the one beside the bazar) get a taxi and go for it faboulous food free internet great service and waiters who talk and understand everything you say they will help anyone with any information you request.
am planning on having a trip to iclemer during our weeks stay so any tips on good restaurants here as well would be appreciatted. anyone any idea just how far it is from Marmaris, boat trip ?? dolmus ?? walking distance ??!!
Marmaris to Icmeler is 8km, Dolmus 1.5 lira each orange and white in colour runs every 10 minutes, You can also catch a Taxi boat from the beach 7 Lira each, Try the Loveboat restauraunt in Icmeler perhaps it's more expensive but well worth it.
Just got back today and the Garden on the beach front was our favourite, we ate there 4 times out of 7.
"The garden".. is that new?, i dont recall seeing it last year... but perhaps i just didnt notice it while running the gauntlet...

No its not new we ate there 2 years ago too. They have a board outside saying "No hassle" so you can have a look at the menu without them trying to drag you in.
Really good map thank you
Yep thanks also for the map, unfortunatly again either its my eyesight or pc as in all honesty all the wording on the map is almost impossible to read !! is it possible to increase the actual text off the map within your computer settings ??
Jono if you just click your mouse on the map it should enlarge it for you, thats what i do on my pc and it works fine
Yep got it this time !!
