Hi,
This is my first post on this forum and I am hoping that you will be able to answer one or two questions for me?
Basically my partner and I are looking to take a holiday in Turkey around the end of this month for 7 days. My first question is - where is the best place to go? We are both young 21 and 20 and don't really want to go to somewhere that is really ‘touristy' but, has lots of things to do (water sports, local site seeing etc.). We are after an area that has sandy beaches, and clear seas. A 5 star hotel is what we would preferably be after and realistically have a budget of around £550 (could be more if a really good place was found!) each for hotel and flights.
Any help/advice you can give will be very much appreciated!
Many thanks,
Jason.
Belek is mostly 5* hotels right on the beach ,it is very sandy and plenty of water sports ,lots of places of interest in that area , aspendos ,ancient city of perge to name a couple .May be a bit dearer that what you have quoted ,but worth a look. God luck.

A friend is travelling to Antalya (Lara Beach) on the 27th June with his partner and staying for 7 nights at the 5* Kremlin Palace Hotel (All Inclusive) for about £450 each flying from Stanstead. The Tour Operator is Thomas Cook. This is a fantastic deal.

Thanks for your replies. I have heard that Belek is a nice place to go and could be what we are looking for! The search continues...
Can I make one comment however..as for sandy beaches with clear water...the best beaches in Turkey are those with a mix of sand and pebbles...why..because the waves as they roll in mix up the sand making visibility less...however on the sandy/pebbly beaches they are clearer..
Some of the best beaches are located along the Antalya coastline...some more touristy than others..
I did notice the sea was nowhere as clear and beautiful as it is over at Olu Deniz and now you've mentioned it, its obvious really.
As nearly all the hotel in Belek are 5* all inclusive theres not a lot going on in the resort of Belek itself. (Everybody wants to get back to the free food and drink at their hotel.)There are of course day trips and we enjoyed visiting Aspendos and would recommend doing the rafting, we visited the area where this was done and it looked great.
Olu Deniz (our true love) is quite different. There are not many 5* hotels there but lots of excellent 3 and 4* Hotels. Tons of great bars and restaurants and a real buzz around the whole place. You can tandam paraglide off the Mount Babadag or just watch others doing it landing on the beach. There are a lot of cool bars that would appeal to young people but definately not a larger lout in site.
Olu Deniz is very cool and Belek is Luxurious would be my summary.
