Hi all,
I am off to Cala D'or on Saturday for a 3 night short break, so wanted to make the most of the trip and get acquainted quickly so we don't waste too much enjoyment time (hee hee cant wait) We are staying at the Es Ravells D'or. I was just wondering if anyone could tell me:
1) Does the hotel have a car park and does anyone know the email address or phone number for the hotel please? Or is there anywhere online i can get a map/directions from the airport to the hotel?
2) What are the best places to eat and drink? We love traditional spanish meals - tapas, fish etc with a nice atmosphere and perhaps a view. We're having a kid free mini break so can go somewhere posh and romantic for a change!
3) Can anyone recommend a good supermarket close to the apartments please.
4) Whats the weather like now? Day and night - will we be too hot in jeans in the evening or will we need to bring a jacket or cardi.
Thanks in advance everyone.

(6 days and counting)
Firstly their web site is pretty good with email address and phone number available
google "Club Martha's" and click on first link then on Es Ravells
for directions
even easier google "Directions from Palma airport to Cala D'or"
Your location is pretty much town centre so loads of places to eat and drink, in fact you'll be spoiled for choice.
Re Supermarkets, there's a Spa I think at the end of the road you'll be on, but not much further the other way is a large Capabro Supermarket.
As for weather it should be lovely with temperatures in the 25-30C range.
We're not going to Cala D'or till September ( been going since I was 17 and now 42 so you can see how much I love it there ) so twinge of jealousy on my part.
Hope you enjoy it!
Your complex is in Cala Egos if its part of Club Marthas.
Restuarant advice:
Beatriz is a great place for choice and value for money. It has a huge menu and the quality is good. The owner and staff are always very welcoming. Its located next to the large Eroski supermarket.
La Marina is a small restaurant in Cala Egos but it has lovely food and a nice, child free setting. It is right next to Tonys Bar on the main street - it has a white and blue front with an arch that you walk through.
On the marina, I would recommend Botavara if you want Mallorquian / seafood. It has a lovely setting and is nice for a posh meal. Blance y Negro on the marina is also very nice, as is Aquarius.
In Cala Dor, it has to be Vicente (near the Sa Marina Hotel), or Can Trompe and Es Cailu in the centre of town.
Have a great weekend!
The Es Ravells complex is in the center of Cala D'or next to the Hollywood bar and the Tropical gardens.
It is owned by the Marthas group but trades on its own merits.
Great position for everything see
http://www.caladorscene.com
for a map.
good choice of resturants by Mary.
best of luck,
Steve.
We stayed in EsRavells last September and were very pleased with the apartment. There are parking bays directly outside each block.Very centrally situated, lots of bars and eating places and a spar just down the road.We will be booking again for September.
Thanks very much everyone - some really great answers. I can't wait to get there now. Yippee. Two days to go!!
