We have heard that cider...in particular Strongbow or magners....is not available at all in turkey......
Now this doesnt bother me too much LOL......but my other half is quite concerned
can you settle the argument once and for all!....please......he does like the Efe (sp) beer so its not too tragic...but he likes a cold cider on holiday......
thanks
my hubby was drinking cider.......havnt got a clue what sort it was, but it must have been nice, as he kept commenting on it, think we had to pay about 6 or 7 lira for it, so twice as expensive as the local efes....
aye i had cider in altinkum last year, choice of apple or pear. I like efes but you can get fed up with it after a while. nothing better than a cold cider sitting in the sun watching the world go past
now would this apple and pear cider be turkish?
Or the well known british brands??? LOL not sure if I'm allowed to mention them by name!
lots of ice and a beach what more can i ask for.
Cider is my choice of drink, but the cider in I drink in Turkey is nothing like Magners, Strongbow etc, it is more like a fizzy apple wine, I am pretty sure it is a Turkish make, it is not on tap and is in a bottle like the blue wicked etc, it is nice but does tend to get a little bit sickly sweet after a while so I then go onto vodka/red bull -or vodka cherry. I tend to drink the Efes light if I fancy a nice cool refreshing drink or if I do not want to drink the hard stuff (vodka).
Someone has put a post on the "What to Drink" thread about a bar in icmeler that is now selling cider.
agree with manxpolly, turkish
Im a cider drinker and did not find any English brands in restaurants or supermarkets in marmaris. I drank theres over ice which mostly was OK. Took a few in my case which I drank by the pool and thoughly enjoyed it!!
Yes its sold in a dark green bottle and it's a Turkish brand also I had one yesterday in the Marmaris Gunesi hotel situated behind Marmaris market cant remember how much it was as I had a tiny bit to much to drink, He He.
