hi we stayed at these apartments a few years back before they had the air con and refurb done and have to say was one of the best hols its only a small block we were in room 29 right by the pool although the balcony was facing the street, but it was way to hot to sit out there anyway.the apartments do lovely lunches i ordered a small pizza (which are home made) and when it arrived it was HUGE, very good value for money. you are literaly a skip from the beach and the main street (only one no way you can get lost here) i was stunned to find an internet cafe here considering its such a small village. oh they do some smashing trips from the main street in a little train/tractor? you pay on the train and every day its takes you to a diferent place. it was for us a wonderful holiday. bb61

To Late for the original Requestee but if anyone else interested here are our thoughts.
Went here in 2007 with Olympic who arranged a Free Taxi for us from Heraklion Airport [a long Trip ]
Current cost 2009 £175 Each Way."Phew".We shared this with 2 Friendly Sisters and it was enjoyable even in the Dark as it was Full Moon which gave some Great and Terryfying Views as we Went through the Gorges.The Accommodation was a little Run Down and Much affected by the Summer " Hot Saharan Winds " Mainly occupied by Germans but this is a Multi Cultural Euro Resort where we met some great People from Germany and Eastern Europe who had ventured here for Many Years mainly for the Peace and Quiet ,the Road stops here so you have to go inland to get anywhere.They also come for the Naturist End of the Beach which has its own sunbed attendant and some welcome shady Trees [ it was over 40' every day we were there and we did not see a cloud.for 2 weeks.]The Sea Remains calm as its a sheltered Bay and we often saw Birds of Prey circling high above in that oh so clear Sky.There are some great Tavernas and a long Promenade for that Evening Stroll.
Back to the Accommodation it was clean but the shower Rail kept coming down as did the Catch on the Louvre Doors to the Windy and not as private as we had hoped Balcony. There was a small Pool and Bar but we never used it as there is no substitute for swimming in a calm warm sea in the Altogether.I would Recommend it to anyone and Despite the 4hr flight is one of the cheapest Holidays on offer this year. 2 Adults self catering for 2 weeks with Pre booked flight seats onboard meals and Transfers from £815 in August. Well Recommended. Try it. As to why Operators dont use the Nearer Chania Airport i am told 1st its the Scandinavins will pay more 2nd Its a Military Airport so Flights are Restricted.Make the Effort and long Journeyto Visit Eephanosy With its pink sand beaches but dont go on a Sunday as its packed with Locals. Enjoy
