We've just booked to stay at the Hesperia Playas de Mallorca in Santa Ponsa. We were originally looking at the Rey don Jaime, but when we saw there wasn't a much price difference between the both we decided to go to the Hesperia. It's right on the beach, and it's got great recent reviews on trip advisor.

Hi does anyone know if the Rey don jaime is still part of the Marina Hotel groups?

The Hotel Rey don Jaime has been sold to the Rosu Hotel chain.
It is open as usual but the contact details for the reservations has changed.

All the same team are working in the booking office
Marga, Marta or Maria Jose.
The staff are all the same as well in the hotel and it has just understand a fantastic ground flour refurb as well.
Contact them for the information that you need.

Thank you for the reply Suzanne, that's put my mind at ease. Do you know if Natalia is still the manageress and if the entertainment team are the same as last year my kids really loved Max and the girls.

Natalie is no longer with this hotel, the manager is Monica, she is lovely, I am not sure about the entertainments team, but the entertainments manager is the same Tom, they have got some great shows ready.

The hotel Corfu/Skorpios is also owned by the Rosu Hotel group.
All the staff have stayed there as well including Mr Ruiz the director, he has been there for over 34 years!!

Everyone is really pleased and the service is still the same so nobody should worry.

With regards to the Entertainers I have spoken to the hotel direct as I was concerned about the take over and was told that Mad Max is there along with Roch and Katie, who have been there in previous years.
Monica the manager has been there on/off with Natalia and is lovely. I was also told that all the staff are the same, including the Bar manager who seems to have been there for ages!
Am no longer concerned about going there in July/Augist for our 10th time!!!
If you have a fidelity card from Marina they are apparently honouring them for this year...so if you have a gold/platinum card you will still have towels for the pool!

I will going to stay at the rey don jaime on 20th June for 10 days. I am travelling with my hubby, in-laws and my 2 yr old daughter.
