Sorry to hear about your boyfriend's problem.

Sunny Beach is a pretty level resort - much easier on crutches than Golden Sands would be. I know that if I had a similar problem it wouldn't stop my holiday, but the decision is yours.

Hi Rach, if you get a letter from your doctor and send a copy to your travel company, they will normally give you extra legroom free of charge on the flight, plus advanced boarding. Also Royal Dreams is set in the quiter southern part of Sunny Beach, and as said earlier it is very flat, Paul

This will only apply if the extra leg room seats are not exit seats as you have to be able bodied to sit there.

He'll definitely need a fit to fly letter I would imagine to guard the airline against a DVT if he's had an op. (I'd definitely ask doctor for one as you don't want to be refused boarding)

Also as suggested inform your insurance as any claim could be made null and void if you don't declare his broken foot.

Thanks guys, very helpful as always! I rang the insurance this morning just to check things over and we'll definately get a refund if he's not fit to fly. If he is fit to fly but we decide not to go anyway then I guess we won't get anything back but that's up to him really. He's usually very active on holiday and loves to swim and snorkle, not really a lie around the pool all week kinda guy. I could always take my mum instead but not sure how that would go down! Oh well, I'll let you know what we decide x

Hi guys
it turns out the injury is worse than I first thought, we went to the hospital today as the swelling had got worse and they've kept him in overnight!
Looks like we won't make it on the 30th June but hopefully we'll be able to rearrange for later in the year - anyone know what the weather's like in September?
