Was just wondering what you love about benidorm. What you dont like about it?
angela
Its the place where families, couples, kids and single holidaymakers can go and have fun, find friends and just not take life all that seriously
I love the fact that because of its reputation parts of it and the surrounding coast which are truly beautiful are largely ignored by well heeled touristo types
My favourite thing...got to be Aqualandia man...remember that bike from the 80s!
good thread would be good to hear everybodys views who love Beni. I am new to Beni and am really excited about going this July!!!! It looks lovely, I keep hearing and reading about it being like Blackpool but I dont see how it can be???
Im just back from my seventh holiday there, some of my family stay over there and work over there (not in bars or restuarants) and i love the place and hope to move over with the mrs in the next few years.
Its basically whatever you want it to be!!!
I like everything about Benidorm. There is always somethign different to do and see every time you go
There is something for everyone, kids, teens, adults and the more mature adults, everyone is catered for. Favourite place is Aqualandia and the old town on a friday night.
Hi CazzMicknTom...what happens in the old town on a friday night.... ?
Well you get to mingle with all the spanish people out strolling, it's usually heaving and they have street entertainers, mime artists, jugglers, that sort of thing. The atmosphere is so Spanish, you have to be in tapas alley early to get a seat for dinner though. The old town is lovelly any night but it has a certain buzz on a Friday. Unless it's just me and the way I interpret it
Thanks... I will give friday night a go this year then...my son hates going along to the old town but i love the stroll along the prom...
That's the route we usually take.
We enjoy walking from the Flamingo Oasis to Dove Park along the beach and getting a taxi back. Has anyone seen the Spanish doing their exercises on the beach in the mornings. They mostly had coats on and we were in tee-shirts and shorts.
have stated all the popular things about Benidorm and I agree with them all.
We always go either Oct/Nov or Jan/Feb and like it then as it is not too hot and things are slightly geared towards our age group.
We have stayed in about 7/8 different hotels and returned to several of them as they have all been excellent. We love going on trips on local buses.
We were last there in February and also December and had superb weather both times. I have recently had major surgery and dont know yet whether we will venture abroad again but if we do
it will definitely be to Benidorm.
Regards Sue
either trying to sell you something or playing some sort of musical instrument then asking for money.
We never give anything and if the majority of the people did the same then this sort of begging would fade away.
I'v often thought why the bar owners don't fire them off as a lot of people feel intiminated to give money.
Apart from that I think Benidorm is a great place as you can have your holiday which ever way you want as there is so much to do 24/7 and unlike a lot of resorts Benidorm is open 365 days a year with the majority of the bars and entertainment open.
I think we will just walk around for a few days/nights getting accustomed to both new/old towns and see what each is like.
I plan to visit the theme park and maybe aqualand but depends on how rubbish the euro is when we leave!
What are the chinese restuarants like?
Dove park
The white sands, clear blue sea.
The choice of food and drink and the good prices.
The choice of hotels and the standards.
The walk along the promanade.
The Spainish wandering along in their best clothes on a Sunday.
Tapas and Tapas alley.
The hustle and bustle, without feeling crowded.
The shops.
What I hate
Coming home.
we noticed, in the indoor market there a now more than one, "three " units changing pounds to Euros.. Someone or some big money men are making a bloody good living from us Brits.... the Germans, the French, "ect" laugh at us.... as they whatch us change our money into Euros, lining some big money men,s pockets..... come on Britain wake up.... do something either join the Euro????
our get OUT......
we have been to several hotels in Benidorm not really sure what makes us go back. We enjoy walking and looking around the shops even though most of them sell the same things. Hoping to go next easter.
i just love everything about beni and it not like blackpool
The new town is nice, I'm young and I like the square. However, if you go to the Rincon de Loix area then there are some nice resturants and bars, then walking along the main street there are really nice resturants. The old town is nice for a stroll around, and its has some really nice resturants.
