We were flying out to Orlando Sanford today at 9.30am from Manchester with Thomas Cook... got there for 6.30am checked our bags in and were told there was a technical fault with the plane and they gave us some vouchers to get breakfast; then we were told a coach was picking us up to take us to Bewleys Hotel as they weren't sure what time the plane would be ready for.
When we got there we all thought it was strange that we were all assigned rooms exactlly to fit our party sizes...and were all geared up with extra staff and buffet lunch for us too..
It was announced at 3pm that we are not flying until tomorrow morning now, all our luggage has been brought back to the hotel as well, and we just have to go to the bag drop in the morning.
Apparantly, spookily enough this happened to the same flight at the same time last week too
I am lucky I live near the airport so have come home and will go back to the hotel around 10pm tonight..(not paying their prices for the drinks) !
What was sad was all the young kids with nothing to do and a lot of parents with babies who have no extra nappies and stuff too
Not many shops around there at all!Will have to check insurance policies as well to see what is what as we also have lost a days car hire.
Anyway hopefully this time tomorrow we will be on the plane...Fingers Crossed.
Not a happy bunny though
