Hi all,
We are due to travel with "onthebeach" holidays via Goldtrail travel company to Dalaman airport with Onur airlines staying at the Yel Holiday resort, Fetiye. Would be very grateful for any tips, advice, warning, experiences with any of the above and also PLEASE - the cheapest way to get to Yel Holiday resort from Dalyan airport/the distance? Our booking does not include transfers. Anyone with experiences of travelling via taxi, booked outside the airport in early hours of morning?
Thanks and happy holidays.

INVALID URL in hisaronu on the main street very reliable.
We are returning to the yel at the begining of august (our 7th time)if you have any more question just ask.
We have been to the Yel numerous times and booked direct with the hotel they will sort your transfers out with "oscar rent a car" £60 return just email them, at the moment they are unable to excess there email address so they have sent us another one, don't think i can post this on this site though might be able to pm you with it You can also book with "oscars" We are returning to the yel at the begining of august (our 7th time)if you have any more question just ask.
Hey Crumpy,
this is my first time going to this resort with my 2 girls aged 8 and 11. I have heard loads about Diego. What other "attractions" are there?
We have booked half board, whats the food like? This is a bit of a concern as the kids are fussy. As i like to iduldge in the odd cocktail or two (just to b social what are the prices in the hotel like?
Is it worth venturng out in the evening with the girls and is it safe?
What are the rooms like....... I could go on with the questions, but ill break for now!!
Any tips, advise etc you can give would be gratefully recieved.
7 weeks today and counting!!!!!!

there is a small fun fare halfway down the village in hisaronu and also a bouncy castle thingy and go cart track as well
and some wicked excursions to do but book these at local travel agents as its normally cheaper than the tour operators
Your girls will be fine at the hotel there a slide which they put on twice a day,all the staff are great Diego is the retaurant manager and Smiley is the bar manager They will welcome you and introduce themselves when you arrive. The rooms are quite small but very clean. The bar prices are reasonable but the cocktails are 12 ytl.You have a snack menu during the day pizza.burgers.jackets,chips ,omelettes, pancakes etc.In the evening it's a open buffet,I think it's very good though the other half is a very fussy eater so he always orders of the a la carte menu (steak, egg chips and 3 baskets of bread!!all the time)
You will need to get the dolmus or a taxi to hisaronu as it's about 20-25 min walk there is alsorts to do in the town and all the bars are all safe.We also spend quite a few days in olu on the lagoon or the beach and then have a early tea then back then chill out on the beach where they have bean bags and deckchairs. Also if you a cocktail try sugar beach during the day and have one of their cocktail(they will blow your head off )there are loads of trips because there is usually a few of us travelling we hire a private boat a great day out. Also the jeep safari is a must. What date are you travelling?
Crumpy, thanks so much for all details...v. helpful....Re beaches etc is there a beach within walking distance of the Yel? Is it quite a big hotel etc? Good eateries within walikng istance as I haer you are not allowed to take any food or drink...even water? back to the hotel? How can this possibly be enforced?
Anone recently travelled with Onur airline please and know what luggage weigght allowance is? Their website is in Turkish! We are travelling next friday and won't get our booking info for awhile... I want start packing and would also be grateful to know how many pieces of luggage etc allowed, Is hand luggage allowed separately or is it part of the total weight allowed? thanks...
According to my booking it is 20 kilos checked in luggage and 5 kilos hand luggage
The main beach is olu deniz I wouldn't recommend walking to it as it took my brother 1 hour and he got a taxi back, then he had to have 6 pints of effes to cool him down!!!The hotel runs a bus down to a private beach on the Lagoon ,if you ask him to drop you off in olu I am sure he will. The hotel is of medium size with 99 rooms the pool is extremly clean and ther are plenty of sunbeds (no need to reserve one)There are a few retaurants within walking distance .The majority of them and the biggest choice is in hisaronu(our favourite is The Robin Hood)THe rooms have a fridge in them which is checked everyday ,what ever you take from the fridge will be charged to your room and replaced. We do buy from the local supermarket(100 meters) but dont make it obvisious bringing them back in.We have been 7 times and only stopped once. The hotel operates on a card system so all drinks and food is put on a card and you settle up when ever you want if you return again you will receive 15%.
Enjoy your holiday
Tell Smiley hello from Mick and his football team are CR*P .He will know who he is!!!!
Im also looking to book last min deal to go to Yel Holiday resort. Can anyone tell me, if they just have a bus service to the beach, or do they actually have a private beach where you can use sunbeds etc free of charge?
Thanks!
Free bus twice a day to sugar beach. They have hammocks and bean bags and suff to relax on, small charge from what I have read but people rave about it. Play tunes and serve food and cocktails etc.
Forgot to tell you we arrive 14th august till the 25th.
Cant wait! Going shoppng tomorrow for last few bits, managed to source Piz Buin sun lotions for £2.99 Bargain! Considering I was going to pay £13 in Boots!!
The kids are dead excited and cant wait to meet Diego, his name appears in all the reviews we have read and I think we have read them all!!
When do you go?
Shame I aint been before, I could of done with the 15% discount LOL
