Hi Liz ... Benidorm is around 43kms from Busot, is that the sort of distance which you would be happy with ? Other places such as El Campello, Alicante, Villajoyosa etc may be closer, but are all completely different from each other and from Benidorm. Much depends on what sort of base and holiday you are looking for, how often you may be planning to visit your friend in Busot, and whether you will be hiring a car or depending on taxi or public transport, etc.
