Depends where you are, usually just some bread and butter, sardine pate and olives. Some places you might get some goats cheese, or little spicy sausages, or garlic carrots. Basic is from about €1.20 each, it will tell you on the menu the cost - it's called a "couvert" - and they don't charge if you don't touch it, or just say no thanks.

At Wild and Co we got Melba Toast, Pate, Little sausages and some lovely vegetable samosa's.

...and ripped off on the drinks...

Aye, mind you they haven't increased the drinks prices, it was still €5.00 a pint.

Was a really nice meal but very expensive and to be honest more expensive in total this time than when we went 2 years ago. It was lovely but not sure it was worth the €80 we paid.

To be fair it is a lovely restaurant and more than half of the patrons when we visited were Portugese which is unusual for that area of The Strip.

It's a bit of a posey joint, and the Portuguese love to pose - they will probably spend all night nursing one drink though.

They charge a fiver because they can, most people will have one drink and walk out, others will be too drunk to notice how much they are paying. It's not even a pint, it's a caneca, which is virtually 25% smaller than a pint.

Just avoid the place, plenty of other bars where your company will be appreciated, and they are not laughing behind your back...

To be fair, it was nice for a special meal but was too pricey for anything other than a special one off meal.

I certainly wouldn't have paid those prices in the downstairs bar, particularly when most other bars in the area were advertising €1/€1.50 a pint of Sagres .
