Hi
Just returned from Aguamarian yesterday!
We travelled with an 8 month old and stayed in block B. We were told by rep that we could only eat in the old we were staying in we were HB. The food was lovely with plenty of variety for all. Although I fed my baby jars as not much for her.
I will be honest, the hotel room was very small, it had air conditioning, there was no fridge in the room we did hire one but it was more of a cooler than a fridge. We found the rooms to be quite noisy with sound carrying though them we were on the first floor so had noise from rooms above us. I would recommend a room on a higher floor (good views).
The pools and entertained were great especially the kids pools.
If you want any more info let me know
We have less than two weeks before we go and I can't wait!! Having been before I know that the rooms can be noisy, However, my children have never had problems sleeping. I think they are so tired after days in the sun and the pool that it wouldn't matter where they where.
can anyone confirm for me that I will be able to hire a fridge for the room?
Yes you can hire a fridge for room. They are the mini bar type.
Thinking of booking Aguamarina. Can anyone give me any info? Reviews I have read seem quite positive. Does anyone know what food is like and is the local wine OK as we are thinking of going all inclusive - first time ever. We normally go to Greek Isles. Four adults and one 4 year old. Any feedback welcome.
We have now found an amazing deal for June this year staying at the Aguamarina. Will Arenal d'en Castell be enough for us? We are both in our 30s with a 6 year old child. We are fairly laid back, love the beach and/or pool during the day (the Aguamarina sounds perfect in this respect) but we do like to dress up a little and go out on an evening for a drink and a wander. The only stipulation my daughter has is that there is a mini disco every night which the hotel provides. My question is really if there will there be enough to keep us amused if we dont want to stay in the hotel?
Ive read other review sites and the main thing ive noticed is that this hotel receives many repeat visitors to the resort year after year, which is always a good sign, but before I go ahead and book, I just wanted a little reassurance if thats possible.
Thanks
(P.S. Is Block C really as bad as the picture I have in my head? Because of the cheapness of the deal I have found, Im worried about where they will put us )
Hi, I am thinking of going back to Aguamarina this year. I went 2 years ago with my son and really enjoyed it. Food was ok but we ate out a few times too. Entertainment is really good for the young ones even though my son was 14 at the time we still enjoyed the entertainment. There is not a lot to do once you are out of the hotel a few restaurants and bars but if you like the peace and quiet then it will be a place for you. Everyone was really friendly. I stayed in Block B which too be honest was not bad.
We have gone ahead and booked it anyway - the deal was too good to miss. We do like to go out on an evening, but with a young one, we wouldnt have gone too far anyway as we like to get her in bed at a reasonable time. The hotel entertainment will have to do but as long as we can go out and eat once or twice we shall be good. We are going with friends now as they thought the deal was good too so we shall make our own amusement/entertainment i am sure. We are easily pleased during the day and the hotel complex and beach look ideal. Cant wait now
Thanks for the reply though.

That's great to hear. I am going in June this year with my son. As it is quiet it's a great place to go when it's just the 2 of us. There are some very nice places to eat so you won't be disappointed at all. The beach is lovely too it's only 5 mins away and there is a lift down to the beach in Block A. All the staff are friendly I found and helpful. I am going AI this year as last time I found the drinks very expensive to buy. The pools are great and very clean. Hope you all have a great time.
Hi Emmalancs. We are going in June as well - 14th for a week to be exact. Hope you have a lovely time.
We will be there on the 18th so might just bump into you.
That will be nice. Might see you there . There are 6 of us - 4 adults and 2 kids aged 5 & 6. Probably making the most noise . Shy and retiring my daughter is not
Hi all, done pretty much of the West coast now trying the East. Looking to book this hotel for next year and just wondering if the rooms have a kitchenette or fridge, because it's not stated in the brochure. Many Thanks
Hi jonah ... I have merged your enquiry with this existing topic about the hotel, which may provide some useful info. I see that fridge hire is mentioned in some earlier posts, as well as in some reviews:
Many thanks for your help
Whats the food like is it all British food or do they serve local food aswell ?
I noticed the post before me asked about whats in the local area I would like to re ask that question.
