I want to know that aswell, the euro is very weak at the moment marks and spencers seem to have the best rate @ 1.21 euro to the pound, I am gunna change a bit here , and the rest when there..

Nationwide debit cards are giving best rate at the mo, during last 13wks got € 1.249 up to €1.274..
just got back and just to warn people not to change any money in San Miguel street. We changed £50 and was charged 9 euro's thats right 9. Its the firts time i have ever been ther so i dont no exactley were it is but if you enter the street from the top end its about 20 yards down on your right hand side. There are no notices up saying they charge and there is a right ingnorant/arrogant blone haired women there in the afternoon, so be warned
Are there plenty of ATM's in Carihuela , last twice we've been we've used TC's but now got a Nationwide flexicard. Thanks
I know of four and I am sure there will be more. There is one at the bottom of the hill from the Las Palomas hotel - opposite corner to the Maskrom Supermarket (near the taxi rank); there is one either side of the main shopping street one line back from the beach and, there is a Barclays one at the top end of this street.
Just to let you know that you could get 122 in most exchanges in Fuengy last week.
Geovil
The rate today here in Fuengirola is now 99.3 euro to the pound and sinking daily. and it is wet and windy.....
Thankls Christine
Hotels never give the best rates, cash or cheques. Jasmin tours across the street from the Bali did give better rates, but I have noticed they arent so good now.I always use Exotic tours in Torremolinos.I guess you will be visiting San Miguel street,so it might be worth your while changing there.Exotic tours is located in Passage Dona Maria Barrabino, opposite side of crossing to San Miguel St.Just look for the old Villa. Its a couple of doors up.
We are staying just outside of Benalmendena. Not far from marina.Could anyone tell my the best place to change english up in too euros. Many thanks
Go up the hill that comes from the Marina and there is a little exchange on the left near the top. I have often got a good rate there. But I fear you won`t find much difference between any of them these days. Even the Tabac store refused sterling when I was in Torremolinos a couple of weeks ago.Euros or card only.
On recent visits I have used my Nationwide Account as it does offer the best rates and no hidden charges. When I have used travellers cheques I use the exchage next to the Halfway Inn. Up over from the Bali turn left at the Panda Chinese (cross to same side as Chinese) walk straight up past all the bars on your right. Opposite the church there is a small exchange on the corner, always seems to give a good rate. Dont use the Bali it always has a poor exchange rate.

The exchange shop just up hill from Marina is called Rubens, he also gives you a free drink while you wait in the queue
Just returned from Benalmadena yesterday, best place I seen to change money was the little exchange on the left hand side, on the hill up from the marina going towards 24 hr square was givin 1.1125 on Saturday
Rubens and Bonanza exchange office giving 1.12 yesterday, Tuesday 24th.
Hi-just wondered if anyone could give an update of the exchange rate-we're staying by the marina
Thursday 21st May.
