Are you sure you want to go to Cyprus?

Unless you go somewhere touristy with access to day trips, without a car you will be restricted.
We never go without our own transport organised.

If you want to avoid English bars then much of the larger resorts will be a no-go for you.
I seriously urge you to rethink the hire car. You WILL enjoy the island much more.

you could choose either Lemesos the second city on cyprus or even Paralimni town [not sea side] both host an ostavmos to' leoeforia [bus station of sorts] wher you can get the local buses to various points, for organised trips say up the trudos you will find most car hire firms sell the tickets, we do not hire when on cyprus but often just jump on a bus and ask as far as you go.. great fun at times

We had no problems catching the bus from Pernera into Paralimni and back again.. just like the UK, wait at bus stop, bus comes along, get on, pay, sit down... get off... !
