In marmaris at the moment be careful of the change offices I have changed 4 lots of money the following happened:-
£200 try to give me 100ytl short - office towards the beach past taj mahal
£150 try to give me 80ytl short - office just past migros heading towards icmeler
£100 charged 3% comm (which came to 18ytl?) this was after asking no comm or tax - office on the taj mahal junction heading towards mc d's, the arrogant guy said tell the police you will get your money back but waste 1 day of holiday.
£100 near harbour - no problems

My tips avoid if possible especially the above and if you use always check no comm/tax and check your money at the counter

I have also heard the same from a few people myself regarding this issue, Next time you exchange money Paul go direct to any Bank or a Post office, You will get a receipt for your purchase of Lira, And you will get a better rate, You win both ways with these.

these barstewards need reporting... i advise to use ATM if poss, or post office , or banks.... it's about time these offices were put out of business. If you do have to use them then ask what is the rate, how much ytl you will get total and ASK FOR A RECEIPT and count the money in front of them... if you are displeased then threaten to call the Zabita.

Really sad to hear stories like this ,especially when you hear so many good stories about turkey and the turkish people ,still i suppose there are good and bad everywhere .
