Hi we went to Crete last year all inclusive and spent approx £1,000.00. My eldest was on the ringos and banana boat constantly, this paid for icecreams and sweets in the shops, snorkelling gear, 2 day trips, a birthday meal and jewellery.

There was 5 of us, 2 adults and 3 children although the youngest was only 18 months so yes it definitely can be done and I dont recall scrimping!

i know it is a little more expensive than last year but i think you would be fine with that amount especially if you are going a/c just leave most of your shopping ;well teenagers shopping till near the end of hol believe me they will shop when they see the price they can get there designer named things for. a lot of people are the same this year having to cut back a bit but we still enjoyed our hols with a little less this year but turkey is still cheaper than most resorts. :tup

As far as i am concerned you cant beat A/I. great value for money and i am quite sure you will be alright with that kind of budget ,just keep the kids away from the shops and markets ,as has been said already when they see all the designer names and the prices ,they will be likes kids in a sweetie shop.Example G-star jeans glasgow £120. Belek £15.

i have 2 teenages, and we have done AI before, although i have to say we do self catering in turkey and it works out cheaper than all 4 of us doings AI.

AI also has the added benifit that it may have more for your kids to do, it just depends what they like, activities, or sea/pool.....

i think you could manage self cat for £1200, although maybe being careful, i would just price some aall inc hotels and apartments up, depending how old your kids are maybe find hotels that would mean paying child prices for them, or if pricing self catering up, try them as adults and as children.....

£1200 i am sure would be fine,

we came back from an all inc in turkey last month and struggled to spend as the hotel provided most things ,so we didnt really leave the hotel much, hired a car for the day, had lots of turkish baths, facials, hairdressers etc and bought some small bits and came back with £500 , so in 2 wks for 3 of us we only spent about £600 ish and most of that went on the treatments lol, but we only ate out once, so really depends how much you want to go out of the hotel for shopping, eating out ,trips etc, our hotel included some water sports too and had water slides and a good kids club and my daughter didnt want to go out of the hotel, hence we didnt go out much, as long as shes happy we are lol, so i would say £1200 would be plenty for an all inc holiday, we are going sc in aug for 2 wks but we arent big drinkers so wont be taking silly amounts of money, and like to eat where the turks eat, cheap and good quality lol
