Im sure you will be fine in Altinkum! Maybe we got more hassle because we were 2 girls and they thought we be easy pickings! We may be going back over in October so i'll miss you by 2-3 weeks! Hopefully we wont get hassled as much. We're going over to see Turkish friends and if you're with them no one says a word to you and you get cheaper prices in the shops without having to haggle!! Its great!

You are definitely right there, my husband is Turkish and when we are out together no-one gives us any hassle at all, I always get him to come shopping with me too as he gets things far cheaper than I could.

We used to go to Altinkum every year for nearly 10 years (live in Goa now).The last time we were there was 3 years ago.The police were shutting bars/restaurants then for over hassling tourists,it was on the instructions of the Major at the time.It looks like he is still in office........
