Help!!!! We have just booked our 1st holiday to sharm for the 12th jan 2009.
Have a couple of questions to ask if anyone could help
Will the sea be warm enough to swim in at that time of year??
Will there be any mozzies!!!!!!!! ???????
Thanks
Debs x
Hubby and I went to Sharm for first time Dec 2007. I was amazed that the temperatures were at 30 degrees and I would say the water was warmer than I normally swim in when I go to turkey in june & September. You shouldn't have any problems.

many thanks.....we also go to turkey in june.....only been back 2 weeks...then booked for sharm....and turkey again next june ...lol x
I must agree with shelagh regarding the water temperature, it was very warm, indeed it was colder when we got out the water so we all ended going back in again.
Daytime temperatures should be up in the mid - high 20's / low 30's however it will be cooler at night so you should take something like a light cardigan or shawl.
Be aware that it could rain we went mid January and it had been raining for a few days prior to us landing and it rained our first night and was very overcast for 2 days before brightening and warming up.
I am led to believe that it also rained the week after we left.
Yes there could well be mozzies, several people were bitten with them.

Thank you all so much for the advice.
