195 prices
How much is a typical starter - Miccie
and
How much is the steak meal - sqigs
Have heard different reports about 195 - none bad about the food but that the prices are high for Goa and they are taking the Mick from tourists. OK if you live in London you are happy to pay what they ask but when you live out of the capital prices are not over the top for quality food. Can't comment as I have never eaten there - this is why I ask.
OK you can say you are on holiday and don't mind what you pay but there has to be some kind of limit.
(Neils comments on another topic re 500rps for a veg curry, rice and bread has to be a joke) ????????
Have eaten at Souymens Kitchen lots of times, fantastic restaurant and very nice man.
Have been in I95 only once, nice setting and food very good, but not a patch on Souymen's kitchen (IMO).
Fillet steak, choice of sauce, jacket potato or chips or saute potatoes, choice of salads or seasonal veg, rps400. Yes quite expensive for Goa but fish and chips costs that much in the u.k. these days!
Gemma 33 - Plebs was my choice of word to describe what the catering manager of the Taj said when he did not want the Friday non staying guests there and this is what he implied. I also say the same - I can keep my money in my pocket and not give it to the Taj.
The catering manager should perhaps keep in mind that without us 'plebs' he/she probably wouldnt have a job!!!
