Hi I am looking to book up for late September to visit Costa Del Sol for one week with my wife and 2 year old daughter and can't make up mind what hotel or resort would offer the most things to do. Have stayed at Don Pablo before and also at the same area as the Sol Aloha.
The Don Pablo has the train station nearby for visits to Malaga, Fuengirola Zoo and the top of Torremolinos has many shops. Whilst the Sol Aloha has the marina, nice walk into Carihuela or Benlmadena and reasonably close the Selwo marina and the Sealife centre at the marina.
We will obviously be looking to relax for spells during day but with a two year old I feel that it is important to have things to do during the day to get out of the hottest part of the day and nice places to walk at night.
I have weighed the pro's and cons for both and I suppose I am looking for some extra ideas to occupy us mainly during the day and what location would be best to enjoy these potential idea's.
Both hotels look good and I know some of the advantages of the Pablo include lots of pools including baby pools and plenty of room around the hotel to relax. Some reviews of the Aloha warn that there is very little room around pool and you have to get up early to reserve beds which is not my idea of a holiday.
One other piece of help I require is to ascertain whether there are any good supermarkets near to both hotels that supply baby food and other products eg nappies, wipes etc.
Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks
I think the Pablo has more to offer but will get the bus along to the Marina a least once to enjoy a wander around.
Thanks
Steven
Yes there is a Supermercado quite close to the hotel. Sorry I don't have directions, but it won't be hard to find as I'm sure there are signposts for it.
Thanks it shouldn't be too hard to find. As we are going with a 2 year old its important to have somewhere close by for nappies, food etc
Just asked hubby and he said the same, it is very close. Go down to the promenade from the Don Pablo, turn left and then turn left at the roundabout. Half way up the street on the left is the Supermercado and it is signposted.
Thanks Luci I know where the roundabout is. The last time I was there I don't think it was there but that now gives me some peace of mind.
