Hi All,
I'm hoping to gain some knowledge about motorbiking from Sydney round the East coast.
I'll be heading off to Oz towards end of year probably late November/early December and staying with my brother in Kincumber North of Sydney for a few weeks.He's been living out there with his fiance since last year and i've never been so want to be clued up in advance.
Has anyone on here toured the East of Oz on a motorbike?
My main q's are:
Bike Hire - Is it reasonable?I'll need a bike for about a month.Maybe i'd be better off buying a bike?Is it worth me buying a SatNav in UK or should i just buy one out there?
A full tank of fuel lasts about me usually about 120 miles.Are there regular petrol stations along the coast?I'll be on a budget so will be looking to camp at every opportunity or stay in cheap hotels or even hostels.Are the hotels/hostels reasonable on the East Coast?I'll be doing this on my own...is this all a silly idea?
Any help with the above q's would be great.

I am not abike person so what ever you have been given some sites to look at Briz all so hire bikes
You will have no touble about fuel stops as there are plenty of fuel stations all the way along the east highway for a bikes range fuel at this time is about $1.60 per litre
Accommodation cheap motels $58.00 to $65.00 hostels are cheaper
The satnav you can buy a car one for $260.00 they are not water poof el cheep ones 3 ins screen
This trip is done on bikes all the time do take out insurance and make shough you do not get a fee for relcation of the bike as it can be written in the hire agreement

Thanks guys.I've investigated costs and it seems to be a bit pricey to export a bike out there.
I've found a few good biker discussion boards that are Oz based so will concentrate on them for now.
