Hello, I was just wondering, how far either or the above were from the Melini apartments? It's just that every time we go abroad one of the kids or hubby ends up with an ear infection from the pool! , so if i can check out the local pharmacy's etc when we get there (god i sound sad ). we usually use ear plugs in the pool but they are a pain.
any advice welcome
ps. going end of august.
Hi, there is a pharmacy on the main strip on the same side of the road as the Melini, it is opposite the Vrissiana hotel. The staff are very helpful. Also there is a clinic on the main road up top just past the Brilliant apts. The doctor there is very good. Hope you have a fab time
Before you go or in the airport get some swimear it works a treat,I have to use it as I have problems with my ears.I think you can purchase on Thomson flights.
I also usually suffer, i asked my gp who said put a few drips of olive oil in you ears every morning and this stops the water going right down into the ear. I do this know and have never had any problems it works a treat.
Hi were off to The Rising Star in aug and was wondering if anyone can tell us how far the hospital is from this Hotel as our son has a heart condition. Hopefully wont be needing it just want to be prepared. Thanks
Thank you all so much, a great help. I will look out for "swim-ear" and will try the olive oil technique. It's good to know that there are a couple of medics/pharmacies close by.
Ammochostos general hospital is about a 15-20 minute drive from Protaras strip in Dherynia. I have spent most days there in the last 3 months due to illness with my parents. It is quite well signposted from Paralimni.
Thankyou very much thats good to know hope your parents are ok.
yay! only 6 more shifts for me to go to Protaras!!!
