Well Anji you get allover the web, don't you ;) !

Your hotel is the opposite side of town to the Old Town, Bus Station and harbour but that's not so far. You can walk to any of these (once you've got your bearings) in about 10-15 mins. As for entertainment bars there's not really a lot going on apart from Colorado Club with it's live bands.

A nice coastal walk from your hotel would be to follow the promenade around, passing Mandraki Harbour and on into the Old Town. It's a longer way of getting there but you're on holiday so what's the rush :sun2

Were going out there too for the first time next year. Staying at the Iberostar lindos royal. We can't find any reveiws on here, :( anyone been?

Are taxi's freely available, as the hotel is 4km out of town, and please tell me there's more than one bar with live entertainment. Oh and one last thing...Can I buy english beer as I don't care for lager.

Hi, just returned from Rhodes , and although we didn't see any english beers on tap
the bars do sell John Smiths in cans , my hubby is not a lager drinker but enjoyed the Mythos

Thanks Llindy.
I can do cans, but I'll try the Mythos as well.

Can't tell you much about the Lindos Royal but it's in Kalathos so although Lindos is 4km away you so have a small village as your base. Your hotel will call a taxi for you though it is more expensive as there is a callout charge, the best thing to do would be walk up to the main road and just flag down a passing cab (shouldn't be a problem as this is the main coast road).

As for entertainment it tends to be more hotels than bars that offer this. The only entertainment i can think of in Lindos is the greek night, every Sunday at Courtyard Bar.

Hi Anji
We have just returned from Rhodes , and there is lots to do during the day, but becareful with the heat
you might not want to leave the beach or pool. The walk along the harbour is lovely , we went to the Aguarium, walked up to the Acropolis of rhodes, walked along the coastal path into ixia, visited the old town , took a boat over to Symi, also down to lindos, which is cheaper by bus than the boat , but you can get the bus to other resorts Faliraki, Kalithea, there is enough to do depending on what you want .
The Blue Sky is in a great position, for the bars and bar street, but as others have said there is not much in the way of entertainment in the bars .
You will have a great time

As for entertainment what I have heard about Rhodes Town is enterainment in it's self. thanks again to everybody who has helped. We are flying out Saturday so it will be nice to see the sun. I will post when I get back (as I am sure this willl not be our last visit to Rhodes) Anji
