Hi folks, My 10 year old daughter is horse mad,she constantly draws them, paints them and googles them! However as all her time is took up with her gymnastics training her horse riding oportunities are fairly limited so i was hoping you guys may know of a place in range of protaras that we could as a family have a little pony trek. i have found a place near to protaras but its based on a residential horse riding holiday rather than a excursion. We just fancy a day out on horse back, gently plodding along taking in the scenery.... sounds idyllic doesn't it...
anybody know anywhere?

Or there's the Moonshine Ranch in Paralimni which is run by an ex Jockey called Angelo. He does treks down to Konnos Bay (Beach) and Cavo Greko. The tel no. is 99-247406 or 99-605042 they don't have a website currently. It's pretty popular in the summer so best to call them first to book, I think the trips were £20CYP last year.
You've got a couple of choices for horseriding near Protaras, the Saddle Club in Dhekelia do hacks Or there's the Moonshine Ranch in Paralimni which is run by an ex Jockey called Angelo. Mrs Ask and Daughter either side of Angelo
Those two had done a little horse riding on a holiday in Corfu, turns out I'm a bit of a cowboy and managed to work out the handbrake etc so I could get ahead and take pictures ! LOL

thanks very much for your replies! i think angelo looks the most promising as the other one was a membership type club. i have only done one horse ride in my life with the new mrs davetraceyuk on our honeymoon in the dominican republic 13 years ago. Think i spent the first half an hour with my arms wrapped round its neck ( the horse i mean, not the wife). We were took into the mountain shanty villages which was a real eye opener. one of the local men asked me if i'd swap my wife for his donkey....cheeky sod! there was obviously something wrong with the donkey so anyway, thats the type of thing i'm after just a turn up and ride with no previous experience necessary.
Have fun Davetracey
oh madmax, so great to hear from you! despite your past its great you can come on here and be amongst friends . hope you had a great holiday and avoided arrest like last year , and don't worry if any petitions come round from the locals asking you to be banned from island i will not sign!!!!
