Weather not guaranteed in October. Having said that we went last October and got good weather (around 25/26o) with only slight rain a couple of mornings. It can get chilly at night. Marmaris sort of closes at the end of October so you will be fine when your going with about 90% of the places open. We are heading back there on the 10th October so fingers crossed.

we were there around 16th last oct and had 3 days of thunder and pouring rain, the same the year before, but previous years to that were fine, so it is a risk, it wasnt cold though and only light jackets were needed at night

I went 2 years ago for the 1st week in october, it was so hot, last year we went on the 10th october for 2 weeks, the 1st week was still very hot, but toward the end of the 2nd week it was raining a few days and a lot cooler in the evenings....so cool we were freezing if we left the air condition on during the night toward the end of our 2nd week it was clearly evident that places were begining to close down... the plus was that the prices in markets and shops were dropping! we still had a fab time though...

Dont forget to buy all your goodies when the prices drop, We are going Sep till Nov so hoping to come back with lots of new shoes ect.

We usually go in October to Bodrum area, usually very good, bit of rain last year around the 15th or 16th, but nothing much to worry about. It's the best time to go, sea is warm, days are hot usually and nights are cool so good sleeping. Not too many toursists and the locals have time to chat and aren't as pushy as mid summer. There are also good bargains in the pottery and glass shops, got some large hand painted plates last year for 20 ytl each.
