XXX Large, there sizes are so confusing, a large to them dosent fit me and I am size 8, you will either have to try things on or get them made to be sure of the size.

you are right re the sizing. I had to cut the size labels off as I wasn't admitting to that size

No matter what size they tell you they are ALWAYS try them on - they vary so much.
Was in a shop in Panjim buying trousers and there was no way they were going to fit me no matter how much she pulled at the elasticated waistband. She told me they were a 32 waist and showed me on the tape measure. My OH noticed that the tape measure was covered up by her hand and when he moved it the tape measure started at 6" not at the beginning.

I totally agree! No 2 sizes are the same in Goa, i'm a size 14 and i've had XL not fit but i have a size 8 skirt that I bought in Goa

If you want anything in particular you should go to a tailor and get it made for you, (really cheap) they will take all your measurements and you can go for a fitting before they finish as well if you are unsure.
