We have not long come home from the Aegean dream where we had a superb holiday. you can read my review ;) . Whilst you cant get in the La blanche for a peek both hotels are next door to each other and both pool areas are virtually right on the promanade . from the outside La blanche looks more swanky while AD looks more quirky . La blanche has a much bigger pool area and a kind of sea-break area for its beach which At first I thought looked kinda odd but it grew on me . The enclosed sea there was obviously very calm and would be great for children . If someone else could help me explain this i would be grateful as im struggling
I would say the pool scene at ADR was up a gear and there was more noise coming from there during the day. during the evening both hotels had entertainment infact we stood and watched a couple at la blanche from the overhead bridge. You have to remember though that we went in high season .
Reports I have read indicate that La Blanche had fewer english guests. It did appear that way but then again we didnt speak to anybody staying there. (ADR was probably 50% english) Evening entertainment in both was done in several international languages but mainly English. Watersports at ADR are included in the A/I package and there is so much for children /adults to get involved with . Cant comment on la blanche but ADR does have well used kids and teenagers clubs

hope that helps a little

We are also just back from the Aegean Dream Resort, was there the same time as Lyn. As she said their pool area is huge, much bigger than ADR. The ADR's beach area has wooden piers to sunbathe on either side of their beach, the La Blanche has concrete breakwaters on either side, (for sunbathing) which curve towards each other, so no waves or real tide coming in or out. Hope this helps :cheers

Having read a great many the reviews we are gonna book for the Aegean for two weeks in 2009, its our third time in Turkey, arrival last week June through too first week July, kids 7 and 1.5 anyone know if the kids clubs are OK and do many parents with kids use this hotel? I know the Thomson kids clubs where we have been in Ibiza the last few years ones are usually very good but this one is Hotel run so is it any good and a question from my seven year old son "Do they play the Thomson The Dog song during minidisco?" My son loves Thomson the dog having been brainwashed at the San Miguel Hotel in Ibiza :sun2 the last few years.

Im sure there will be plenty of children there at that time John .maybe not as many as in August but hopefully someone can answer about the kids clubs . It certainly seemed to be getting plenty of use and all the children seemed very happy but unfortunately I dont really know any more than that . there is a dedicated topic on the ADR where you might find some more answers . it might be an idea to ask the same questionn on that thread too .

found it for you http://www.holidaytruths.co.uk/viewtopic.php?f=28&t=66887

sorry I cant be of any more help.

HI

I liked la Blanche's swimming pool and the enclosed beach area. Also the reviews on all the sites were very good. Also they have good choice of eateries and 24 hr bar lol.
