If anyone is interested in learning to Skuba dive in Ayia Napa or Protaras area of Cyprus, or if there are any certified divers who are interested in diving while on holiday, including diving the Zenobia (one of the top 5 wrck dives in the world!), I have a friend that runs a PADI 5* Dive site. He will not only pick you up from your hotel in the above areas but will also give a 10% discount to all who mention me.
where abouts is he based?.... my better/other half did an assisted/practice/trial type dive from the place on the road between Pernera and Protaras back in 2004, then last year we went on boat trip from Pernera and got to do a little scubaring (?) with a bloke called "chilli" (also worked as a DJ)

Steve
Was this in the Ayis Trias (sp?) and was the 'bloke' a liverpool fan? I think that was the trainer who some of our party used last year when we were out on the boat, then booked to go separately for 1/2 day or so later in the week.
H regrets not doing it last year and is definately looking at it this year...lets hope so a whole 1/2 day of peace by the pool with some cocktails
The two boats Ayia Trias 11 and 111 I think !.. yes he could have had an accent but only saw him for a brief spell before I was hearing bubbles... lol
Jaimec, i haven't forgotten to send details , will do tonight when i get home. (about 8pm)
regards, Julian
The boat will travel around a kilometer from Larnaca Harbour and the Zenobia Ferry, which went down in the 80's due to a cargo overload, is lying on it's side.
Now features a lot of sea life and still has all untouched cargo that went down with the ship.
You can also get a good look inside the ferry such as the bridge and stairways.
Really is spectacular and well worth it!
Another dive spot is the Caves at Cape Greko near Ayia Napa and Protaras.
A tricky rockside has to be negotiated down to a tight and narrow entrance to the Caves. Probably around 20m deep the caves feature a lot of sea life and narrow spaces but another fantastic and must do dive!
Enjoy - i know i you will!

I agree andyquid, some great dives round the coast, i really enjoyed the Caves.
I will try again, returning to Protaras 6th of October for two weeks, if any certified divers are around at the same time give me a shout, will be nice to get back to some warm water diving
