Just returned from a scorching week and so I can answer my own questions............Yes a new one has opened on the front across from the harbour, between the Pyr and Palmeras. Two doors down from the London.

Excellent thanks for asking, really hot 30, for most of the week. We walked from the centre, stayed at the superb Pueblo Lucia,to the Myramar shopping centre,took about 30 mins and another day we walked to the new El Corte Ingles store,about 20 mins. Good news was, I hadnt brought my credit card.
Ate out a few nights , excellent steaks,must mention the Argentian fillet I had across from The Dolphin in fish alley,next to the Chineese. My wife is still raving about chicken fillets she had in the old Sheakspeare.They were cooked in a gorgonzola sauce and I am told they were to die for. The couple that run it are a young Hungarian couple who have been there since April. Felt sorry for them,great food but the place was empty. Her English was pretty poor which didnt help.

well hopefully they will get a bit more trade now
