Hubby and his Sister are off to Australia in October for a month, they are stopping over in Hong Kong for one night, their accommodation is bed and breakfast can anyone tell me how much spending money would they need? The will just be having dinner and an few drinks.
Thank you.
Anna.
Hi Anna, initial reaction to your question was 'how long is a piece of string', but I assume what you mean is how much to take in Hong Kong dollars? The rate at the moment is £10 will get you about 140 HK dollars. A quick look at my guidebook shows that the cost of the airport express train into Central costs HK$100 pp one way, then depending on where hubby was staying he would have to decide whether to take a taxi or use the MTR. The airport bus into Central is about HK$40. Cost of a meal out depends on what you want! Hope this gives you some idea and I hope they enjoy Australia
As far as I know they transfares are paid for, so really only spending money, my Hubby is no shopper but he likes a pint or 2 or 3 or 4
Thank you for your reply.
Anna.
