I haven't done Kavos (yet), but as with Malia it is a place for the young in age or young in spirit to have "fun" away from the disapproving and fuddy duddy glare of a sad few who evidently have nothing better to do in life other than begrudging holiday makers whose idea of a "holiday" doesn't match theirs.
I certainly wouldn't want to be with fuddy duddy types. My regular haunts in Northern Europe are Bougis and Mahiki in London and Cabaret and Man Ray in Paris to name but a few cool spots. Sure much alcohol is consumed in these places but people just have fun without being ill or out of control. Next week I'm being taken to Mamakas in Athens, Greece. Should be good and unlikely to be full of sad people! Do you also get to visit the coolest clubs when not on holiday? I guess I'm lucky that I travel widely in my work and that it takes me to the places where the celebs go. Crete is my escape from all the glitz.
In my opinion the vibe in those sort of clubs lack "fun", and is full of "look at me and how cool I am".
So, in answer to your question... no, I don't visit the "coolest clubs" anymore. I kind of feel like I have grown out of them.
Celeb star gazing does nothing for me anymore. Cheaper to read Hello magazine etc!
But as i've said before.... each to their own, and if all that "glitz" appeals to some then good luck to them. I just prefer more "real" fun/people.
PS: who's going to be the first to hit us with an icon!!
hey come on we're only having harmless fun....aren't we?
Did I say something wrong???
Yiamas.....for now anyway
