i was going to try bulgaria a couple of years ago but the hotel was not ready so we re-booked in turkey.
now that bulgaria are part of europe i thought the prices would rocket as most countries have when they enter europe,is this not been the case with bulgaria?
If you put "prices" into the Search facility, choose Topic Titles Only and the Bulgaria forum there are several topics on prices in various resorts.
perhaps i phrased that wrong, what mean is, is being in europe going to mean prices become as they have in the likes of spain etc what with the euro and the state of the pound.
Not right now still cheap but the prices rise every year in the resorts if you go to the city like Varna it is alot cheaper
I did realise what you meant and the reason for suggesting that you check out previous posts on prices was so you could do a comparison with the prices of places you are familiar with.
The prices may have gone up, I don't know, but they may still be relatively cheap compared to the likes of Spain.

As Luci says, prices are steadily rising in Bulgaria but not to the extent of Spain etc.
The Lev has been linked to the Euro at a rate of €1=1.95583 Leva (via parity with the old Deutschmark) for many years, so yes, the Euro/Pound exchange rate has an influence, i.e. there has been something like a 20% cost increase for UK travellers, purely because of the lower rate this year (about £1=2.45 Leva, as opposed to £1=2.88/2.9 Leva last year).
It is likely to be many years before Bulgaria is permitted to adopt the Euro as its national currency.
