Could anybody please tell me whether The Shandon Bells bar opposite the Sol Aloha Puerto hotel is still owned by an Irishman - Harry O'Connor. I had some great laughs in there whilst on CDS for 3 weeks Nov - Dec 07.
Also did The Caribe Bar ever reopen which shut during my last visit?

The Caribe bar is well and truly shut, I was told that there are some serious issues regarding the lease that's going through the Spanish courts.
Until that is sorted out, it cannot be put up for lease or anyone enter the building.

Yes Harry still owns Shandon Bells .... and doubt very much that you will ever see Caribe open again .....
I was never a lover of the Caribe but cannot believe it has shut down as I was there end of October last year and it was still doing good business. I am there over xmas does anyone know of any new bars/clubs that have opened?
