Was due to go on saturday, but unfortunately the hotel was part of the xcel group, new accomodation offered but after reading reviews didn't like the sounds of them. Cancelled with a full refund which is good, but was really looking forward to it. Have looked around but prices are way too high.

Yeah, we'll be back to Portugal again next year - hubby says in October for our Silver Wedding Anniversary,
but I don't know if I can wait that long....

11 more days now until Mexico - cant come any sooner we've had it booked since last october!
We are down to 4 1/2 more sleeps, up early Sunday morning..not that I'll sleep much too excited ! 
1 week saturday till we fly, week wednesday night till i finish work, and then try to get a years sunbathing into 2 days. I hate going back to the UK all white!!
Save some sun for us Audisteve! Two weeks today we'll be enroute to Pernera!

yep it has come quick, hope yours was good.
just looked at weather forecasts and its forecasts two days heavy rain and fog, great!! the others are going to go mad, we usually go to cyprus and have great hot! weather.

So sorry to hear your news Julie. It's good that you've got a full refund but I can guess how much you were looking forward to your holiday. I do hope you manage to find something you like the look of soon. When so many of us are posting to say how long it is until our holidays, perhaps we should spare a thought for those whose plans have been ruined by the collapse of XL and the other Turkish company.

we have definately decided to go next october too, hubby could not stand the august heat
its our 20th wedding anniversary next year, we were going to go on our own somewhere, but I dont really want to leave kids and mum, so we are going to splash out and go a.l in 5* accomodation in Turkey instead.
I feel abit guilty though cos I am going away with friends to almaradi in may for a proper chill out week by the pool
also got london to go at
end of oct with work-mates, then april with hubby and kids to london again .
I think I need to put some serious overtime in at work

nowt !! sorry guys, very happy for all you lucky people that are going away !!! can't grumble really, had a week in tenerife at easter and 2 weeks in fuengirola in july, but thats our lot now for this year, boohoo !!
