Hi,

Bodrum itself doesn't close down at the end of the season, but a lot of the bars and restaurants do. The resorts around Bodrum will be very very quiet, and a lot of the bars, restaurants and shops will have already shut down for the season a few days into your holiday.

The Bodrum area is still not an all-year resort area, so if you're looking for a sunshine holiday, I'd consider a more established all-year resort area or country if I were you (especially with teenagers in tow).

Don't worry you will still find some places open, there are places open all year round but not as many as during the summer, there are some lovely Turkish restaurants open. You should get some good weather too, it wont be hot hot but it should still be warm enough to sit on the beach and swim.

Many thanks for your reply. We are staying at the Istankoy bed and breakfast. We normally go to Spain at the same time of year but thought the weather would be better in turkey and we fancied a change. The week we are going is school half term. Will we be able to find any entertainment do you think this time of year.

What kind of entertainment are you looking for ? I don't know your hotel but maybe they have things going on there.

We went to Bodrum area for October half-term a few years back. Wonderful weather. One thing was disappointing though, so be warned. The water park had shut for the winter. Swimming pool too cold by far, but sea was still OK for swimming
