Olu Deniz is a flat, compact resort. Quite small and very friendly.
Read reviews for the Belcekiz Beach think it would be ideal for you, plenty going on for all ages but not thump thump if you know what I mean. it's A.I and 4star plus.

Yes I would agree with the Belcekiz and Olu deniz . The town does go uphill gradually behind the beach but the BB is more or less on the seafront (that sounds a bit british doesnt it :rofl ) but you would only need to go as far uphill as you felt comfortable with . There are still plenty of bars /restuarants and shops on the flatter end and its a very friendly, scenic resort.

I have been to both Olu Deniz and Side and I much prefer Side.It is larger than Olu and is flat and has a lovely old town with Roman ruins. There are more 5 star hotels to choose from and the beach is better.

Have a look at Dalyan, close to airport, very flat

The best AI are in the Antalya region. Side is quite flat. Paloma Perissia, Hemera , Sunrise Queen and Melas are open all year round. There are also new build hotels on the outskirts of Side all very good standard.

Lara Beach and Belek are also highly reported but not much outside hotels as far as I am aware.

Belek in antalya region are all five star all inclusive hotels which supply all their own entertainment .The town of belek and surrounding areas are as flat as a pancake .i have just returned from the club voyage hotel and there are no steps hills or any sort of inclines in the hotel grounds ,only the bungalows have stairs ,but if you are in the main hotel you just use the lifts ,i am partially sighted with very bad legs so a place like this is a godsend to me ,there is not much in the way of entertainment outside the hotels ,but the way i look at it who needs it when it is all on your doorstep.

Has anybody of the forum recently stayed at the Grand Azur in Marmaris if so could they tell me if you can upgrade to all inclusive there. :tup

I get the impression that Marmaris is definitely 'rocking and rolling all night' and you said you didn't want that! :)

I have just spoken to a lady on tripadvisor and she said it was quite unless you went into the town centre,We like a resort to be not to lively but not dead as i have beeen told that is the problem with Lara Beach if you venture outside of the hotel, as we have never been to Turkey before i am trying to get as much advise as possible before booking its not easy to get a middle of the road resort.
Cheers

The Grand Azur is situated in the Siteler area of Marmaris. Its a lovely hotel. I havent actually stayed in it but stayed along that end a couple of times, visited the Grand Azur, and thoroughly enjoyed staying at that part. I will add that my husband and I are in the 60-65 age group!

Lets say its well away from the noisier parts of Marmaris but there is certainly plenty to do right on the door step. Migros Supermarket is just opposite and theres load of shops nearby.

I note your wife has a disability so not sure how easy it would be for her to get on a dolmus. If this is manageable then the dolmuses run every few minutes along the main road and you can either go into Icmeler in about 10 mins or the other way would take you along to the Marina in Marmaris, also about 10 mins. . All you need to do is put your hand out and the dolmus will stop anywhere to pick you up/drop you off.

Also it depends what time of year you go. In the height of the season this will be a busy little area but nowhere near as busy as other parts of Marmaris.

Hope this helps a little.

i agree with what you said about the lara area theres not a lot around the area, the beach isnt very nice and wasnt very impressed. what about icmeler, thats lovely not as busy as marmaris, theres some fab hotels along the sea front, no steep hills to go up either and only 10 mins away from marmaris so you could always visit marmaris for the day
