Hello
We went on an organised tour - the guide said to take just towels and essentials. The party had its own table in the Cafe area and we just left our stuff there (towel , small change etc the cameras we took with us)
You dry off in the sun ( it was August and didn't take long :) ) and then there is a bank of showers to rinse off.

Its a brilliant day out just beware of the big hose pipes they rinse you off with :rofl . It doesnt matter when you go, beginning or end of holiday. After you have been in mud baths you stand out in sun to dry off then there is rows of showers or hoses to rinse you off then you have the chance to go in the sulphar bath which is very nice but stinks, makes your skin so soft. Hope you enjoy.

Hi
Yes we enjoyed the day. I didn't like the sensation of the mud and stones under my feet - but I am a wuss when it comes to pebbles! Some people found the smell of sulpher from the thermal pool a bit strong but we didn't . It was a very good day and I would do it early on

There is a photographer there who takes photos which are ready when you leave. The sulphur bath has a narrow ledge around one side but then drops very deep if you are 5ft nothing like me. kids would not be able to stand up in it. So take care unless you like the taste of sulphur. We wore old bathers which we had taken just for this trip and threw them away after we had showered and changed, they really do stink! It is a good laugh though. Enjoy.

Just a note

be prepared for the smell.....it absolutely stinks.
A fun day out though
We also did the Turtle beach as the trip was a package thing.....word of warning.....if you do the TB option they tend to stop for you to eat at a restaurant along the river.....the day we went both my husband and eldest daughter contracted amoebic dystetery from that restaurant as did 8 other members of our party.....to coincinental for it to have come from anywhere else as we were all staying at different accomodations.

Hope this hasnt put you off going as the mudbaths is a laugh

hi we went on a jeep safari which included the mud baths, we also stayed in ovaick but there was no sulpher bath at this one . it was completely different to the mud baths we went to from marmaris.

thanks for all the info guys! sounds really good and definitly make sure we book it! :tup

dont fancy a jeep safari sounds too dangerous especially after that fatality earlier on in the summer.

2 more days to go!!!!!!

hi
just got back from hisaronu booked the dalyan trip with rep, had a fantastic day photographer with us all day capturing all the action at the mudbaths! i wasnt too keen on the mud but hey im a wimp! boyfriend loved it, he dived right in (yuk!) it is a good expereince so has to be done, the sulpher bath afterwards ias abit strange i was shocked how hot the water was! such a strong smell of rotten eggs - dont go if hungover!
afterwards they take you down the river to see the rock tombs in the caves- very impressive, last stop of day goes to the turtle beach of course you dont see any! but its nice to chill there after a long day it was quite cloudy when we got there so i dont think it looked as impressive as if it was a sunny day i think it would look much better!
overall i probably wouldnt do the mud trip again but its definetly an expereince that you should do at some point if anyone gets the chance!
an enjoyable day with lovely professional photos as a reminder (remember to haggle the price - you can get them down!)

Take extra costume with you in case you want to sun bath later as you will not get rid of the smell for days. :cry

yeah thats right, we wore old (ish) bathers we had to chuck them afterwards the mud stains the clothes and you will not get rid of the smell!
