We have booked return flights with BA from Gatwick to Barbados next month and need to book connecting flights from Aberdeen (where we live).
The Aberdeen/Gatwick route was one of those taken over by Flybe last year when BA Connect was sold, and so there are no direct BA connections, it is only Flybe that operates this route now.
My question is, am I right in thinking that there is a codeshare agreement in place? I am worried that if we book the connecting flights with Flybe will we face problems if we miss connections due to a late arrival at some point.
The alternative is to book BA to Heathrow and have the hassle of the coach/taxi transfers to Gatwick, which having experienced before, I would rather avoid.
I've looked on both airline's websites but am still none the wiser !
Welcome onboard
We have a dedicated flybe thread for more information. The BE / BA codeshare agreement only lasted through the transition from BA Connect to Flybe. The code sharing finished on 25th March 2007. All flights are now Flybe and are no longer part of any agreement. I would make sure you have plenty of time between flights just in case of any problems.
