When it comes to jet skis it has as much to do with who is riding them as the condition of the craft. I was in that area a few years ago and witnessed a horrific accident where two people under the influence of alcohol crashed at high speed into a catamaran. Thankfully no one was killed by there were severe injuries and a lot of damage.
hi jmk..... i have two teenage sons and i no they will want to use them ,even though they are senseble, i worry like you said about people riding them dangerously and drunk.....thanks kathy
I think the main problem is they hire these machines out to anybody regardless of if they have any experience of them or if they have been drinking. In inexperienced hands they are as dangerous as motorbikes. Thankfully my kids weren't interested and enjoyed dinghy sailing or windsurfing. The problem then was that people on these machines were tearing around in between the sailing boats behaving like idiots. That's when the accident happened.
Hi ..jmk ....I agree they should be in a seperate area i am trying to talk my kids out of it, as i would have to take out extra insurance after reading post on here i didn't no thing like that weren't included in your insurance, when i think of some of the things we have done like quad biking and slideing down waterfalls in dom rep and only took out bacic insurance in a thirdworld country its .
