Hi - have been to Ibiza just once before (approx 5 years ago) and loved it but we went late July.
We don't normally holiday this late, and people keep giving me conflicting reports about what to expect.
How hot do you reckon? How cool in the evenings? Shall we pac-a-mac??
We like exploring and usually use public transport rather than hire a car. We also like cycling and have been trying (unsuccessfully) to find details of bike hire nearby. Anybody know please?
We stayed at Santa Eulalia last time and this time we're trying Cala Llonga.
Thanks in advance.
The Aparthotel HG Cala Llonga and The Fiesta Hotel Cala LLonga have a bike hire service, but i dont know if this is just to their residents.

Thanks everso for that Biff! Are you speaking from personal experience or are you better at searching than me, because I got nowhere. We're staying at the second hotel you mentioned, so I HOPE you're right.
found the details via google, details on the alpharooms site and holiday-beds-direct.
I go to Cala Llonga every June and have done for the past 25 years. However, about 5 years ago we decided to go back over in September.
We got a few overcast days and some bad rain, but bar owners I have known for years said that was very unusual for the time of year. I just think that, wherever and whenever you go abroad these days, you are at the mercy of the changing climates.
I would say go and don't worry about it. Bad weather would not be the norm, and neither would cold nights. If staying out late, you might want some sort of light jacket or cardigan, but forget the winter woolies.
As for bike hire, as you are staying at the Fiesta Cala Llonga, you will probably be fine there as Biff has identifed they have bikes for residents at least. This hotel does not have any kids staying there, so the bikes will be specifically for adults.
Hope you have a great time - and great weather.
don;t forget to collect you fiesta points when you leave.think you may be walking the bikes up the hill to get out of resort.fast main roads as well so becarefull.Santa Eulalia is right when you get out of resort on to main road.ibizatown is left very hilly journey.a nice ride would be to es cana via Santa Eulalia
I could cry at the moment - just opened an email from our operator which said "Are you excited about your holiday?" Yes, yes!!! Then it said .... "Click to see the 5 day weather forecast in Ibiza" and it's rain every single day!!
I dare not tell DH because we SO need this holiday - we have had a stressful year and as he's self-employed it's the only holiday we take!!
Can anybody suggest things we CAN do in Ibiza even if it rains please? At least if I have a few ideas up my sleeve, it might cushion the blow.
for a start there will be loads of things going of within the hotel everyday.depends how bad the rain is.if its just drizzle then get a bus out of resort.if its really bad.stay in doors.you will fined something to do trust me.it may have cleared up by the time you go anyway.
Anyway, we're lucky to be healthy and able to afford a holiday, which looking back my poor old Mum & Dad hardly ever did, and certainly not abroad. AND hey, I won't have to shop, cook, clean or do much of anything for a week!!
Just in case anybody else is wondering about cycling - the Fiesta Hotel, Cala Llonga do NOT do bicycle hire and as someone else said it is VERY hilly around there, so it's not surprising. The nearest place we saw where bikes were available for hire was in Santa Eulalia.
